BLACKBOARD CAFE
Welcome to the Blackboard Café - your friendly Friday morning hub right here at Faulconbridge Public School. Run by our dedicated team of parent and carer volunteers, the café opens each Friday between 8:25–8:55 am and provides more than just coffee: it’s a relaxed space to connect with other families, enjoy a drink and snack, and build community at our school.
A CAFE RUN BY PARENTS, FOR PARENTS
(AND STUDENTS AND TEACHERS!)
As a not-for-profit service, all proceeds raised by the café are channelled straight back into the school community — supporting programs, school equipment, classroom resources, and shared experiences for all children.
The Blackboard Café is powered by a dedicated team of parent and carer volunteers who give their time each week to set up, take orders, make coffees, serve hot chocolates, and welcome families with a friendly smile. It’s a simple way to make a big difference.

The Blackboard Cafe is open every Friday 8:25am to 9:30am (food and drink orders close for students at 8:50am to ensure they don't miss morning assembly)
STAGE 3 HOSPITALITY TRAINING
Each Friday, Stage 3 students have the chance to work in the Blackboard Café, learning real hospitality and customer-service skills.
They help take orders, assist volunteers, and stay back after the bell to collect and deliver teachers’ coffees — a job they love!

Through their rostered shifts, students learn responsibility, teamwork, communication, and basic money-handling skills in a supportive, real-world environment.
​
All Stage 3 students participate at some point during the year and receive a Certificate of Hospitality Work Experience to recognise their effort and achievements.
OUR MENU
Our menu changes seasonally and often includes weekly specials baked by our amazing volunteers.
