KITCHEN GARDEN PROGRAM

We need helpers in the kitchen, whether you can help for one session or more or even just to come at 2.30pm to help with washing up. Mondays 9am -3pm anytime, or one of the sessions: 9.20-10.45am, 11.25-12.50pm and 1-1.20pm/1.55-2.50pm. Donations of food items are also welcome.

BLACKBOARD CAFE

We could always use a few more people to help out in the café for an hour on Friday mornings (and on some special days). Anytime from 7.45am up till after the bell goes. Even if you can just help with cleaning up after 9am it would be greatly appreciated. It doesn’t need to be every Friday, just whenever it’s possible for you.

Education

ETHICS TEACHING

Would you like to help teach something meaningful to the kids that can be used throughout life? At FPS we still do not have enough teachers to offer ethics to all years. The training is free and includes lesson plans and all information to be ready to teach. Ethics is for 30 - 45 mins on Thursday mornings.

For more information, please visit the primary ethics website:

www.primaryethics.com.au

Clothing Rack

Our on-site uniform shop is often looking for extra volunteers to help serve customers, maintain stock, and keep things in order. The shop is open every Friday morning from 8:20am for one hour.

We are planning to make hair accessories out of old school uniforms as well as making some bags which will be for collecting soft plastics in the classrooms. If you would like to help out by sewing from home it would be great.

ONE OFF EVENTS & SPECIALISED SKILLS

Do you have a specialised skill you would like to share with us? Or would like to volunteer on a more casual basis? We have yearly Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls and events and would love for mums and dads to get involved, along with the twilight markets, working bees and many other events that we will update you on.

COOKBOOK

We are looking for volunteers to help cook, photograph, design, and organise our fundraising cookbook. If you would like to be involved please feel welcome to get in touch with us.

FUNDRAISING

Are you all about raising money for a good cause? Us too! Join the P&C fundraising committee to share your ideas and help us with fundraising events that help support our school and our children's education.

Lights

The Twilight Markets are our school's largest fundraising event. There are many different roles available from the planning stage to volunteering on the night. Let's come together and make it a fun and successful night for our school and community!

PUBLICITY & PROMOTIONS

Do you enjoy being creative, or have a background in Marketing? We would love to have you onboard to help us with the P&C website, social media, and marketing design and implementation. We are also looking for someone to help put our FPS cookbook together. This is a digital volunteer role perfect for volunteers who can't get to the school.

Volunteer Application

Becoming a volunteer with us is easy! Simply fill out the form below, attend a volunteer induction session at the school (we can let you know when these are happening), and complete the WWCC Declaration form (available for download below) and return this to the office in person, along with your Government-issued photo identity document.

Volunteers taking part in roles that are off-site such as sewing, digital marketing, or the cookbook are not required to complete the induction process or declaration form. Simply fill out your details below and we'll be in touch.

ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE

Are you interested in the environment and helping to make the school more sustainable? Why not join the committee to start working on different projects. We are keen to hear and share ideas to make a difference in our school.

IN THE GARDEN

We need anyone ready to get their hands dirty! You don’t need to have experience, there is a lot of weeding and other garden work to be done. We also welcome any help with planning. Beth Healy (our teacher for the garden program) is in the garden on Mondays but you can come in during the week after discussions with her.
